Nkechi Adeyemi

Nkechi Adeyemi is VP of Engineering, leading more than four thousand engineers across Halcyon's ground campuses and orbital yards. She started at the Nairobi campus as a thermal engineer on the Kestrel shuttle and rose to programme lead for the Seraph Medevac, delivering it eleven weeks early.

Nkechi now oversees the Meridian Colony Ark and Cascade Dropship programmes and has championed a shared parts catalogue that lets the two ships use common landing struts, life-support racks and avionics boxes.

She mentors early-career engineers through the company's apprenticeship scheme and remains based in Nairobi, Africa.

Nkechi is a fellow of several engineering societies and a vocal advocate of fewer, better meetings. Her engineering principles document, which every new hire reads in their first week, opens with a single rule: if a part can be shared between two ships, it should be. She hosts an open engineering forum every quarter for staff across all campuses.
