Marguerite Delacroix

Head of Propulsion Propulsion

Marguerite Delacroix is Head of Propulsion, based at the Toulouse campus in Europe. She leads the team responsible for every drive Halcyon builds, from the methalox engines of the Kestrel and Wren Microlifter to the helium-3 fusion cores of the Atlas Heavy Freighter and Odyssey Deep Explorer.

Marguerite pioneered the modular fusion drive that now serves seven ship classes, cutting maintenance costs for operators by a third. She is also co-lead on the Eidolon Lightsail Prototype's trim-thruster system.

She regularly publishes fuel-economy comparisons and is a sought-after keynote speaker at propulsion conferences.

Marguerite began her career on chemical rockets and still has a soft spot for the methalox Wren Microlifter, which she calls the honest little engine of the fleet. She sits on the propulsion standards committee that sets common rules for helium-3 pellet handling and is mentoring the next generation of drive engineers across all Halcyon campuses.
