Dev Raman

Dev Raman is a fusion drive engineer at Shackleton Base on Luna, where Halcyon runs its vacuum drive test stands. He led hot-fire testing of the Aurora Mk II's deuterium-helium-3 engine, which reaches a top speed of 1,450 km/s, the fastest of any crewed Halcyon craft.

Dev also tuned the antimatter-catalysed microcapsule drive of the Seraph Medevac and the pellet injectors of the Corvid Stealth Scout. He enjoys explaining fusion to non-engineers and runs Halcyon's monthly propulsion webinar.

Dev studied plasma physics before joining Halcyon and spent three years as a test engineer at Shackleton Base. He holds a patent on a pellet injector that reduces fuel waste, and his current focus is extending the time between overhauls on the Aurora Mk II so that courier operators can fly more missions each year with less downtime.
