Jonas Lindqvist

Jonas Lindqvist leads flight software at the Toulouse campus. His team writes and maintains the real-time operating system that runs on every Halcyon ship, from the Wren Microlifter to the Halcyon Starliner.

Jonas drove the decision to open-source large parts of Halcyon's flight stack, arguing that partners flying the Polaris Relay Tender and Basilisk Salvage Tug would find bugs faster than any internal team. He is the maintainer of several of Halcyon's most popular repositories.

Jonas has written real-time systems for more than twenty years and is known for his insistence on code review and deterministic behaviour. He chairs Halcyon's open-source steering group, which reviews contributions from partners and universities, and speaks regularly at developer conferences about building trustworthy software for crewed flight.
