Yusuf Demir

Yusuf Demir is a mission controller at Shackleton Base on Luna, where Halcyon runs its round-the-clock operations centre. He supports customer missions from the Seraph Medevac rescue flights to Tempest Ice Runner convoys in the Saturn system.

Yusuf designed the control-room procedures for handling communication delays of up to five hours with the Odyssey Deep Explorer. He contributes to Halcyon's open telemetry datasets.

Yusuf has worked in mission control for over a decade and has supported more than forty deep-space missions, including the Valkyrie Survey Corvette mapping campaigns at Europa. He trains new controllers in anomaly response and regularly presents on the craft of managing long-delay missions from a lunar control room.
