Ana Kalani
Ana Kalani manages Halcyon's pilot training programme from the Oceania flight school. She led the design of the Sparrow Trainer, a 4.1 million-credit two-seat craft where a student flies with an instructor beside them, and wrote the syllabus that takes cadets from the Sparrow to the Kestrel and Wren Microlifter.
Ana's school graduates more than 300 pilots a year and partners with flight academies across the Pacific. She believes training should be affordable and accessible to anyone with the aptitude.
Ana flew Kestrel shuttles for a decade before moving into training and still logs instructor hours in the Sparrow every week. She works closely with the cockpit design team on simulators and is a frequent speaker at flight academies, encouraging students from island and remote communities to consider a career as a pilot or flight crew member.
