Lars Eriksen
Lars Eriksen leads Halcyon's open data programme from the Toulouse campus. He is responsible for releasing telemetry, survey maps and star-chart data collected by Halcyon ships, including the Valkyrie Survey Corvette's moon maps and the Odyssey Deep Explorer's ice-giant datasets.
Lars championed open licences such as CC-BY-4.0 for all Halcyon science data and works with universities across Earth and Mars to put the data to use.
Lars has a background in astronomy and spent years at a planetary data archive before joining Halcyon. He hosts quarterly open data office hours, speaks at science conferences on the value of open licensing, and is currently preparing the first public release of telemetry from the Eidolon Lightsail Prototype so that researchers worldwide can study the results.
