Grace Mwangi

Grace Mwangi is Chief Safety Officer, based at the Nairobi campus. She leads safety and mission assurance across every Halcyon programme, signing off each ship before its first crewed flight.

Grace led the safety certification of the Halcyon Starliner, the company's first ship carrying more than a thousand passengers, and of the Seraph Medevac. She now chairs the safety board of the Eidolon Lightsail Prototype and the Meridian Colony Ark.

Grace is a strong advocate of a just safety culture in which anyone can raise a concern without fear.

Before joining Halcyon, Grace investigated accidents for an interplanetary transport regulator, and she still reads every incident report filed across the fleet. She speaks regularly at safety summits on lessons from the Kestrel and Atlas service histories, and on how a shipyard can publish its near-misses openly without losing customer trust.
