Event
Jovian Science Symposium
The Ganymede Institute's symposium gathers researchers studying the Jovian moons and atmosphere. Lucía Ferreira presents how the Odyssey Deep Explorer's laboratories are integrated for multi-year missions.
Valentina Rojas discusses Nimbus Gas Skimmer operations in Jupiter's upper atmosphere and the data they collect along the way. Lucía will show how the Odyssey's closed-loop habitat keeps 18 crew healthy for up to six years while still leaving room for 1,200 tonnes of instruments and samples. Valentina will share atmospheric data gathered by Nimbus skimmers as they collect helium-3.
Halcyon is offering researchers access to ship time aboard future Odyssey missions, and staff will explain how to submit a proposal. Both talks will be followed by extended discussion with the audience.
Researchers interested in ship time can meet Halcyon staff at the poster sessions.
