Event
Deep Space AI Summit
Organised by the Off-World Computing Society, this summit covers machine learning far from Earth. Mei-Lin Zhou keynotes on assisting single pilots, and Samir Haddad presents navigation models trained on star-tracker data.
Aiyana Redcloud joins a panel on verifying autonomous behaviour, using the Corvid Stealth Scout as a case study. Mei-Lin's keynote looks at when an assistant should take control and when it should simply advise a pilot travelling alone at more than 1,000 km/s. Samir will share benchmark results from star-tracker navigation models running on low-power flight computers.
Aiyana's panel will address certification, testing in simulation and how to explain machine decisions to pilots and regulators. Halcyon will also host a recruiting table for autonomy roles in Osaka, Toulouse and Austin.
Recommended for AI researchers and flight software engineers.
