Leviathan Drive Wear and Fuel Burn Logs

Dataset n/a

Buyers of heavy haulers want to know what a ship really costs to run. This dataset answers with five years of voyage records from Leviathan Ore Haulers and Atlas Heavy Freighters operated by Halcyon partners who agreed to share their logs. It covers 3,800 voyages and more than 120,000 AU flown.

Each voyage lists cargo mass, distance, delta-v and fuel consumed, alongside measured wear on magnetic nozzles, pellet injectors and radiator panels. A loaded Leviathan typically burns around 11.4 tonnes of deuterium slurry per 100 AU, while an Atlas averages 6.8 tonnes of helium-3 pellets; the logs show how much that varies with load and trajectory.

Released under the ODbL, the logs are used by finance teams to model lifetime cost, and by Halcyon's own propulsion engineers to predict maintenance intervals.

Operators of other fleets are encouraged to contribute their own anonymised logs using the published schema. The full set of outputs (fuel burn per voyage, component wear measurements and maintenance events) is licensed Open Data Commons ODbL, with source and documentation at https://git.halcyon.example/leviathan-drive-logs. Halcyon commits to keeping it available for at least twenty years, with older versions preserved in the open data archive. Feedback from partners shapes the roadmap; most new features over the past two years began as a request on the public tracker.
