Introducing the Nimbus Gas Skimmer: a new chapter for Halcyon Stellar Works

Today we are proud to open orders for the Nimbus Gas Skimmer, the latest Gas-giant skimmer to roll out of the Kepler Yards at L5. It first flew on March 2185, and every test campaign since has shown it is ready for paying customers.

The Nimbus Gas Skimmer is flown by 2 pilots and carries a total complement of 6. It is 240 m long, cruises at up to 270 km/s, and can travel 30 AU before it needs to refuel.

Propulsion comes from Hydrogen scooped in situ (fusion ramjet), burned at roughly 0.6 tonnes per 100 AU. That efficiency lets operators plan long routes without expensive mid-course tanker stops.

Commissioning starts at ₡235 million, and that includes crew familiarisation at one of our ground campuses. Contact your Halcyon account team to reserve a production slot.
