The Eidolon Lightsail Prototype leaves the cradle

A new Experimental prototype has joined the Halcyon catalogue. The Eidolon Lightsail Prototype lifted off for its maiden sortie on March 2187, and the flight crew came back grinning.

This vessel is built around a crew of 4, of whom 1 sit at the helm. Its hold takes 1 tonnes of payload, and its 640 m hull was designed to be serviced at any Halcyon orbital yard.

Endurance was the brief from day one. With a reach of 265,000 AU and a top velocity of 14,800 km/s, the Eidolon Lightsail Prototype covers routes that used to need two hulls and a transfer stop.

Pricing for a fully outfitted unit begins at ₡3,400 million. Early customers get priority delivery from our Olympus Ring and Shackleton Base yards.
