Open Flight Software Meetup

Meetup HSW speaking The Foundry Co-working Space, Lyon

Organised by volunteers from the Open Avionics Collective, this evening meetup features short talks and hacking.

Jonas Lindqvist presents the roadmap for Halcyon's open navigation core, and Elias Moreau explains how to submit a first contribution. Jonas will walk through recent improvements to the navigation core, including better star-tracker fusion and faster trajectory planning, and talk about how the same code flies on the Aurora Mk II and the Kestrel shuttle. Elias will lead a beginner-friendly session on setting up a development environment, running the simulator and finding a good first issue. Experienced contributors will help newcomers review their first pull requests.

Snacks and drinks are provided by the organisers. Bring a laptop if you want to join the hacking session.

Open to anyone interested in open-source spacecraft software.
