Cislunar Traffic Ledger

Dataset n/a

Cislunar space is the busiest neighbourhood in the solar system, with more than 2,000 movements a day. The Traffic Ledger records each one: departures and arrivals of Kestrel shuttles, freighters, liners and Basilisk tugs, with timing, origin, destination and docking port.

Port operators at Shackleton Base and Kepler Yards use the congestion statistics to schedule docking slots, and partner shuttle lines use them to set timetables. Basilisk tug activity records show how much debris has been cleared from each orbital shell.

The ledger is published under the ODbL with a 24-hour delay for security, as daily files and through a streaming API.

Developers have built route planners and visualisations on top of it; new tools and data quality fixes are welcome in the repository. In practical terms, users can download ship movement records, port congestion statistics and debris tug activity free of charge under Open Data Commons ODbL, with source and documentation at https://git.halcyon.example/cislunar-ledger. Halcyon's open data programme treats this resource as shared infrastructure, much like a lighthouse: it costs little to run once built, and it makes the whole solar system safer and cheaper to work in. Issue reports, documentation fixes and translations are all valued contributions.
