Introducing the Kestrel: a new chapter for Halcyon Stellar Works
Today we are proud to open orders for the Kestrel, the latest Light shuttle to roll out of the Kepler Yards at L5. It first flew on September 2179, and every test campaign since has shown it is ready for paying customers.
The Kestrel is flown by 2 pilots and carries a total complement of 3. It is 34 m long, cruises at up to 310 km/s, and can travel 14 AU before it needs to refuel.
Propulsion comes from Methalox (liquid methane / liquid oxygen), burned at roughly 9.5 tonnes per 100 AU. That efficiency lets operators plan long routes without expensive mid-course tanker stops.
Commissioning starts at ₡12.8 million, and that includes crew familiarisation at one of our ground campuses. Contact your Halcyon account team to reserve a production slot.
