First look at the Leviathan Ore Hauler, our newest Mining hauler

Every new Halcyon design starts with one question: what does the person at the controls actually need? For the Leviathan Ore Hauler, the answer produced a Mining hauler that 6 pilots can fly comfortably on long shifts.

Since its first flight on November 2182, the Leviathan Ore Hauler has shown a top speed of 160 km/s and a working endurance of 40 AU. Its Deuterium fusion slurry drive uses about 11.4 tonnes per 100 AU, well below what we predicted.

Inside the 880 m hull there is space for 22 crew and 140,000 tonnes of cargo. Every compartment can be reached by maintenance drones without taking the ship out of service.
