Is the Cascade Dropship worth ₡185 million?

It's a fair question. ₡185 million is serious money, and before you commit to a Heavy planetary lander you want to know what you get for it.

You get a 72 m ship that first flew on February 2183, cruises at 140 km/s and reaches 12 AU on one load of Methalox (liquid methane / liquid oxygen). You also get Halcyon's full yard support network from Luna to the Olympus Ring.

For most customers, the economics come down to the 220 tonnes hold and the 18 tonnes per 100 AU burn rate. Together they decide your revenue per voyage and your cost per voyage.

Add a crew of 6, only 2 of them pilots, and most operators recover the commissioning fee well inside the hull's design life.
