Sparrow Trainer Flight School Launch

Launch Hosted by HSW Halcyon Pacific Flight Academy, Coral Bay Field

Halcyon opens its Pacific Flight Academy with the first production Sparrow Trainers. At just 4.1 Mc, the Sparrow is our least expensive craft: a two-seat trainer where one student pilot flies with an instructor beside them, on reliable methalox engines.

Pilot Training Manager Ana Kalani introduces the syllabus that takes cadets from first lesson to solo Wren Microlifter flights. Cockpit UX Designer Leilani Akana shows the simplified display layout built for novices. Test Pilot Zanele Dlamini will fly the opening demonstration. After the ceremony, visitors can sit in the Sparrow cockpit, try the academy simulators and meet the first cohort of 48 cadets. Instructors will explain how dual controls let them take over at any moment.

Operators interested in sponsoring cadets can meet the academy team in the hangar lounge.

Prospective cadets, parents, schools and operators sponsoring new pilots are encouraged to attend.
